Every AnalyticalResult that enters Piper through the file import workflow carries the importBatchId of the batch it came from. This provenance link lets compliance staff trace any result back to the original uploaded file, the ImportMappingProfile that was applied, and the committedAt timestamp. If a lab issues a data correction and you need to retract or replace a set of results, the importBatchId quickly identifies all results that came from the affected delivery and need to be reviewed.
