When a lab receives your cooler, they assign their own internal sample IDs to each container. The labSampleIdsJson field on ChainOfCustody stores these lab-assigned IDs so you can cross-reference them when reviewing the analytical report. If a result references a lab sample ID you do not recognize, you can look it up here to identify which CoCRecord and well it corresponds to. This mapping is critical for catching mislabeled or misrouted samples before they enter your compliance data.
