The notes field on a CoCRecord is where you record conditions specific to collecting a sample from this particular well — for example, "well was dry initially, recovered after 30 minutes," "slight sheen observed at time of collection," or "pump replaced due to mechanical failure mid-purge." These notes apply only to this well's sample and complement any site-wide notes on the parent ChainOfCustody. They are available during data review and report preparation to explain anomalies in that well's results.
