A sampling event is the scheduled mobilization that covers all wells sampled during a particular round of monitoring. The samplingEventId on a CoCRecord ties the per-well custody record back to that event, allowing Piper to assemble a complete picture of the event: which wells were sampled, which CoC documents covered them, and what results came back. When building a ReportPackage for a reporting period, Piper uses samplingEventId to gather all associated CoCRecords and their analytical results.
