Each laboratory formats its data reports differently. The labName field on an ImportMappingProfile records which lab the columnMapping was designed for — such as "TestAmerica" or "Pace Analytical." When Piper auto-suggests a mapping profile during an import, it uses labName together with the headerFingerprint to narrow candidates to profiles built for the same laboratory, reducing the chance of applying the wrong mapping to an incoming file from a different lab.
