The updatedBy field on MonitoringWell is refreshed each time someone saves a change to the well's data. This provides a lightweight audit trail — for example, if a well's status changes from Active to Inactive, updatedBy identifies which team member made that change and when (in combination with the updatedAt timestamp). It is useful for compliance reviewers verifying who authorized a status change.
