Monitoring wells are where the data collection happens. Each MonitoringWell in piper records its wellId (the label on the wellhead), its location via latitude and longitude, key elevation references like groundSurfaceElevation and tocElevation, and physical dimensions including totalDepth and boreholeDepth. The status field (Active, Inactive, Abandoned, Destroyed, or Proposed) and wellType (Monitoring, Extraction, Piezometer, and others) tell your team at a glance whether a well is in active use and what role it plays in the site's monitoring network. Sampling events, field measurements, and chain-of-custody records all link back to individual wells.
