Setting isActive to false on a Site effectively archives it — the site no longer appears in active dropdowns when creating sampling events, field visits, or reports, but all historical data is preserved. This is useful when a monitoring program reaches the Closure phase and the site no longer requires regular sampling. Administrators can reactivate a site by toggling isActive back to true if monitoring resumes.
