Some artifacts are recovered from within a defined Feature, and featureId records that association. This connects the find to feature-level context like the feature type and interpretation. The link is optional, since many artifacts are not tied to any feature. When a feature is deleted, the link is set to null rather than removing the artifact, keeping the catalog intact while dropping the now-invalid association.
