The notableFinds field is where a DailyLog flags the standout discoveries of the day — a complete vessel, a dateable coin, an unexpected feature, or the first appearance of a new soil layer. It is optional, since many days yield only routine material best summarized in the workSummary, but calling out notable finds separately makes them easy to spot when scanning back through the diary. It gives directors and specialists a quick way to locate the days that produced the dig's most important evidence.
