Each DailyLog belongs to exactly one Project through its projectId, which is what gathers a season's worth of entries into a single readable diary for that dig. Because Relic enforces one log per project per day, the projectId pairs with the date to guarantee there is never a duplicate entry for the same day on the same project. The field is required and indexed, so every log has a parent project and project-scoped journal browsing stays fast.
