The eastExtent of a Feature measures the feature's eastern edge, joining northExtent, southExtent, and westExtent to define the full plan-view outline. Together the east and west extents give the feature's width across the dig, while north and south give its length, so the four values let you sketch a bounding box and estimate area. This is especially useful for elongated features such as a TRENCH-aligned WALL or a linear STRUCTURE, where the east-west spread is the defining dimension. The field is optional and is recorded against the unit grid so all four extents stay in the same coordinate frame and can be plotted on a single map.
