Feature Number

The `featureNumber` is the integer label that uniquely identifies a `Feature` inside its project, the way archaeologists say "Feature 12" in the field.

Every Feature gets a featureNumber, a whole number that field crews use as shorthand when bagging finds, writing in notebooks, and labeling photographs. The number is unique within a project, so "Feature 7" always means the same hearth or pit across every record in that project — there is no ambiguity. Because the uniqueness is scoped to the project, two different projects can each have their own Feature 7 without conflict. Assigning numbers in sequence as features are discovered keeps the catalog orderly and matches the running tallies crews keep on paper in the trench.
