The LeaseStatus enum tracks a single rental agreement through its life. An active lease is current and billing monthly; a moved_out lease has ended because the renter vacated the unit; an in_lien lease belongs to a renter who is far enough behind that the lien process has started; and a sold lease ended when the unit's contents went to auction. The status drives billing, occupancy, and the delinquency workflow.
