Buyer credit & payment terms

Each buyer has a credit limit and payment terms — Cash at Pickup or Net 7/15/30 — and loadout is blocked once their used credit reaches the limit.

Buyer credit is how the barn manages risk: how much a buyer can owe before they have to settle up, and when payment is due.

  • Credit limit — the most a buyer can owe at any time.

  • Credit used — how much of that limit is currently outstanding.

  • Payment terms — when payment is due:

    • Cash at Pickup — pay before animals leave.

    • Net 7 / Net 15 / Net 30 — pay within that many days.

When a buyer's used credit reaches their limit, loadout is blocked — animals can't leave the yard until they pay down or the office lifts the hold.
