Net payable is the bottom line of the settlement: the check amount. Start with the gross sale proceeds, subtract every fee (commission, yard, insurance, checkoffs, vet, brand inspection, manure, and any custom fees), apply the consignor's prior balance, then add or subtract any ad-hoc adjustments. The result is what the barn pays the consignor. This field is read-only — it's computed, never typed.

A negative net payable can happen — if fees and a carried debt exceed the proceeds, the consignor owes the barn. That shortfall rolls back into their running balance.
