The Committee record (Committee) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Committee row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, departmentId, name, charge, type, startDate, endDate, isActive, createdAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a committee as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Committee row carries a tenantId, one institution's committee data is never visible to another.
