The CoursePrerequisite record (CoursePrerequisite) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each CoursePrerequisite row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, courseId, prerequisiteId, isRequired, createdAt, tenant, course, prerequisite. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a course prerequisite as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every CoursePrerequisite row carries a tenantId, one institution's course prerequisite data is never visible to another.
