The Course record (Course) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Course row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, departmentId, code, title, credits, description, isActive, createdAt, updatedAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a course as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Course row carries a tenantId, one institution's course data is never visible to another.
