Well groups let you organize monitoring wells by purpose — for example, "Upgradient Wells" or "Source Zone" — and filter results by group when running reports. Each group has a name, an optional description, and a color for map display. Groups can nest using parentGroupId, allowing a hierarchy like "All Wells" containing subgroups. The sortOrder field controls the display sequence in well lists and charts.
