Sometimes you weigh just to know — a curiosity weigh, a recheck, a pre-sort number — and don't want that reading to affect what a lot sells for. Marking the ticket informational-only keeps the weight on record but out of the money math.
An informational ticket is excluded from a lot's settled weight. If you actually want a weigh to drive per-cwt pricing, leave this off.
