The ActionItem record (ActionItem) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each ActionItem row stores fields such as id, actionPlanId, title, description, assigneeId, status, dueDate, completedAt, sortOrder, createdAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a action item as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. The action item record links to the tenant that owns it, keeping each institution's action item data isolated.
