The CohortGroup record (CohortGroup) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each CohortGroup row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, sectionId, label, targetSize, sortOrder, createdAt, updatedAt, tenant, section. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a cohort group as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every CohortGroup row carries a tenantId, one institution's cohort group data is never visible to another.
