The FacultySearch record (FacultySearch) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each FacultySearch row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, departmentId, title, rank, specialization, committeeId, status, openDate, closeDate. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a faculty search as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every FacultySearch row carries a tenantId, one institution's faculty search data is never visible to another.
