Space

The Space record (Space) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Space row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, departmentId, name, building, roomNumber, type, squareFeet, capacity, assignedTo. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a space as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Space row carries a tenantId, one institution's space data is never visible to another.
