Approval route

The ApprovalRoute record (ApprovalRoute) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each ApprovalRoute row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, name, description, isDefault, createdAt, updatedAt, tenant, steps, approvals. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a approval route as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every ApprovalRoute row carries a tenantId, one institution's approval route data is never visible to another.
