The ProposalApproval record (ProposalApproval) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each ProposalApproval row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, proposalId, routeId, currentStepNumber, createdAt, updatedAt, tenant, proposal, route. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a proposal approval as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every ProposalApproval row carries a tenantId, one institution's proposal approval data is never visible to another.
