Section

The Section record (Section) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Section row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, courseId, termId, sectionNumber, scheduleType, maxEnrollment, currentEnrollment, meetingPattern, location. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a section as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Section row carries a tenantId, one institution's section data is never visible to another.
