The Tenant is the root of everything you do in Relic. When your organization is provisioned through Suite, a Tenant record is created with an externalId that links it to your Suite account and a human-readable name. From there, every project you create, every site you record, every artifact you catalog, and every compliance report you generate is scoped to your tenant — so you only ever see your own work. The Tenant fans out to all the major collections: users, projects, sites, excavationUnits, stratigraphicLayers, artifacts, features, photoRecords, dailyLogs, labBatches, complianceReports, auditLogEntries, and eventInbox. It also owns a single config (a TenantConfig) that holds your catalog-number format and pipeline stages. You rarely edit the Tenant directly; it is the container the rest of the system hangs from.

Tenant
A `Tenant` represents one organization in Relic. Every other record — projects, sites, units, artifacts, features, logs, reports — belongs to a tenant, and that boundary is what keeps one organization's data separate from everyone else's.
